The Lost Man

The Lost Man fine art series explores self portraits of a man trying to find his place in the world.  I use photo montage to create alternate realities in which I explore the vulnerability, weaknesses, questions, desires, confusion, and insecurity in the Lost Man’s mind.  Each piece is an alternate reality representing the world inside the Lost Man’s head and how he views himself (in red) in relation to others (in black suits).  

As ideas evolve from subconscious dreams (the background) into conscious realities (the foreground), the viewer sees them as interpreted by the Lost Man. The viewer begins to realize that the Lost Man is every man and the only true reality is determined individually by each person’s own perception of reality.
